Adventures of Willy Goat
DESCRIPTION
This year's calendar features Willow and her 6 pups who are turning 9 this year! Along with some other great friends :)
All proceeds go to Celebration of Canine Lives Sanctuary in Cuba, NY!
Willow was found hiding out under a porch back in October of 2014. Not only was she frightened and malnourished, she was also pregnant with 7 puppies (unknown at the time of her rescue). She was the sweetest, most kind little spirit and it didn't take her long to warm up to her new home. After giving birth on December 6, 2014 and sending the puppies off their new homes in 2015, Willow began her new adventure life! She loves riding motorcycles, paddle boarding, traveling, goating (climbing all over everything hence her nickname), playing in the snow, swimming, fishing, catching sunsets, chasing waterfalls, she does it all!
We are grateful for animal rescues and all they do to help abused and neglected animals find their new forever homes. This is our 5th year selling Willy Goat calendars and raising money for local rescue groups. We raised $1,000 the past 4 years and are hoping to beat that this year! We are also hoping to raise more awareness on the importance of adopting homeless animals versus buying.
Celebration of Canine Lives Sanctuary (CCLS) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in the process of building a rescue/sanctuary for homeless dogs. They purchased their property in Fall of 2019 and are now in the process of readying the land and the facilities for homeless dogs in need. They are so close to completing their first dog room and we hope to help them get there so they can start taking in dogs. The money would go towards supplies needed for the room including paint, special doors for the rooms and siding materials for the walls. And so they can start on the seconds dog room.
CCLS Mission:
Rescuing homeless dogs and placing them in permanent, loving homes utilizing comprehensive adoption procedures to ensure dogs and families are well-matched.
Providing lifetime sanctuary for dogs that are difficult to place in adoptive homes due to having significant behavioral and/or medical issues.
To put an end to the killing of homeless dogs in our nation and to practice and promote resources, relationships and activities that encourage canine well-being.
