DESCRIPTION
The K9 Bane Hero Foundation began as a grass roots effort to fund medical bills for retired K9 Bane, diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) in 2022. He battled DM for 709 days, and traded his wheels for wings on 05.09.24. We are a recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to helping working K9 handlers navigate healthcare and medical assistance for their aging pups. Our non-profit aims to help both civilian & sworn working dogs including police, military, corrections, SAR, fire, & security. We also want to promote healthy & responsible breeding to stop diseases like DM.
